
Maxine Graves of Waxahachie, Texas

Maxine Graves, 67 of Waxahachie, formerly of Irving, died Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. Born February 2, 1951 in Grand Prairie, she was the daughter of the late Don Byars Newman and Bobbie Lee Snowden Newman. She grew up in Irving. A retired dental office receptionist, she moved to Waxahachie in 1996. She was a member of Village Baptist Church in Irving. Preceded in death also by her parents and a brother, Donnie Newman, she is survived by her children, Shannon Jenkins and husband Mark of Irving, Joe Don Lee of Waxahachie, Tonya Shilling and husband Larry of Irving and Jamie Arquitte of Waxahachie; her companion, Rickey Jones of Grand Prairie; eight grandchildren, Mark (Andy) Farmer and husband Terry of Grand Prairie, Lisa Lee of Waxahachie, Joshua Jenkins of Irving, Hunter Johnson of Irving, Rebecca Lee of Waxahachie, Gracie Shilling, Drake Shilling, and Abbey Shilling, all of Irving; a sister Regina Stephens and husband Ricky of Hurst; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many that loved her.
A memorial service is planned at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Village Baptist Church, 224 E. Grauwyler in Irving. Burial will be at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.

I remember Maxine well. My very first girl friend. Maybe 5th grade? lasted all of a couple of weeks. She tore up my picture and her Mother made her tape it back toghter. LOL
Ran into to her on Facebook after all these years. Such a Very Sweet person. Always Positive. Enjoyed our time on FB and chats on the phone. She will be sincerely missed. Had plans to go see her. But it never worked out on this end. I regret that.
