It seems (?) that the night that we graduated - a huge cheer went up from the parents and grads in the audience when Bobo's name was announced and he walked across the stage to get his diploma. Just one of those crazy things that seem to stick in my memory.

Yes, I remember that too, Debbie. I seem to remember that we gave him a standing ovation.

I HAVE BEEN TALKING WITH BOBO'S DAUGHTER, ELISHA. SHE STILL MISSES HER DAD AFTER THESE YEARS. I TRY TO HELP AS 'UNCLE BOB'. SHE IS A NICE YOUNG LADY BUT DOESN'T TAKE TOO MUCH AFTER BOBO SINCE SHE IS ABOUT 5 FT. TALL AND PROBABLY WEIGHS A BUCK O'FIVE. SHE IS THE REPAIR COORDINATOR AT 'STAR POWER TV' IN DALLAS.

Hi. Bo is my Dad. He sadly passed away in July of 2003. We miss him very much. Thank you to those who have shared their thoughts and memories. He was a wonderfully caring, funny and generous person and I am blessed to have had 21 years with him.

If anyone should have any questions, or stories they would like to share, please feel free to email me at shannonmeby@yahoo.com

We would also be thrilled to see any old pics or videos of him. At the time of his death, his first grandchild had just been born. This was something he was waiting for and was so excited. Since then, 8 more have been born and we would love to share stories with them!

BoBo was the most fun and happiest boy in school. Everyone loved him and he loved everyone back. My most fun memory of BoBo is watching him dance after school on the Dance Show Something Else. He could really dance. His sometimes dance partner was Denise Batchelor who has also passed away. Those two kids had a real blast.

Thank you for that information!!! I will have to see if I can find any old videos on youTube of him dancing on this show. I dont think I ever knew this about him. Lol. He was definetely involvedin alot of different things. He did like to dance!

He would have laughed to read some of these comments and remember the things people have shared with us. And, he would have been very proud of his grandchildren (and hopefully, his children. Lol) His granddaughter is actually the reigning Miss Dallas right now (my daughter!) and there are so many times I wish he was here to see all these kids are accomplishing and how much they are growing.

Thank you again, and please keep sharing your stories and thoughts! I am so honored and thankful that so many people remember him fondly. I have yet to hear a bad thing about him and that warms my heart.

Marion- I happened to look Denise up out of curiosity and noticed she also passed a few years ago. Her and my Dad are both at Oak Grove. I am sure they are rockin the cemetery and having a great time.

Bob- thank you for being so sweet to my sister and I.

I did want to comment on something you said. No, she does not look at all like our Dad. There is no way for her to. Lol. We were both adopted at very young ages! Lol. We were blessed to have been chosen by such a wonderful man!

I am sure your dad is watching over you all.  What a blessing to know how well his children and grandchildren are doing in life.  I know he is proud and blessed by each of you.  Thanks for sharing with his high school chums.  Denise was an awesome person also, but did not a family behind as your dad did.  You will meet again.
