Myrna Jacks Barr passed away on October 24, 2019 leaving behind her husband David Barr of Van Alstyne, Texas; her son, Roger Nolen and wife, LeighAnn of McKinney, Texas and daughter Lori Nolen of McKinney, Texas; and her grandchildren, Jacob and Julia Nolen.

In January 2018, Myrna was diagnosed with glioblastoma level 4, the deadliest form of brain cancer. She beat the average survival rate by eight months while sustaining a decent quality of life. Myrna's twenty-two month cancer journey was her greatest legacy and testimony of her faith. No tears or self-pity, no questioning; only courage and faith that God would guide her through it until she came home to Him.
