George Rivett

George Edward Rivett, age 70, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021. He was born March 9th, 1950 to George Rivett Sr. and Esther Lucas in Alma, Michigan. He worked as a computer analyst for LTV (Vought) for 28 years. George is survived his daughter and son-in-law, Sara and Lennie Holpin, his sisters, Sharon Seabolt and Vicki Brown, his brother-in-law, Clarence Brown and his grandchildren, Hunter and Jaiden. Several more family members and friends will dearly miss him. My dad could light up a room. He never knew a stranger and was friends with anyone he met. His laugh was contagious and anyone who ever spent time with him remembers laughing until their sides hurt. His spirit was only surpassed by his heart. He could fix anything. He was larger than life. His voice will ring in our ears and his love will stay in our hearts forever. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens 1413 E. Irving Blvd., Irving, TX 75061.

Please keep George's family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.

George and I met in Spanish class at Irving high.  I have fond memories of him leaning back in his chair just smiling and enjoying life.   A few years later we met again when his sister married my brother.  He was still smilng!  I know his family and all those whose lives he has touched over the years will miss him greatly.
