To Pat...

This is so sad. I remember when Barry and Elaine first got married and lived in the garage apartment on Rogers. Elaine would go out on the roof of the main house and study. I thought she was just about the coolest college kid I knew!! My heart goes out to Barry.

My sweet beloved father left this world very early yesterday morning. He passed away serenely in his sleep after a steep decline in his health in these last two weeks. He was ready to go on and told us this several times. He got to see all his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and my brother in these last days which gave him great peace. You could see the joy on his face.

I will miss him very much but am glad he is at peace in Heaven, hopefully on some celestial golf course. Many of you met him and loved him; many of you just heard the stories . He lived a long and rich life and was loved and respected by many. He was truly a contented man. We loved him deeply and his example of how he lived his life will be with me forever.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 2pm at First Baptist Church in Irving on Main St. The following grave side ceremony will be carried out by his brother Masons at Oak Grove Cemetery in Irving.
